I
love it when a designer designs something with a bit of history or story behind
it, this also includes things with famous people on them. The use of a recognisable
figure head works well within products, especially if you love the person!
Emily Mackey is the designer and creator behind Maxemilia, a small design
studio that specialises in embroidered cushions, hankies and pillows. I
especially love her current design series called Love/Hate hankies featuring politicians
from around the world including George bush, Nicolas Sarkozy and Maggie
Thatcher. All her work is beautifully made, plus she is based in London
(Yayyyy). Another of her ranges is what’s under your pillowcase? They are
little pillows with tiny embroidered image in the corners. I just love them
all, all her designs are adorable check them out here!
