Pierre Frey

One thing I have always been a massive fan of is a product that tells a bit of a story as well as being really ridiculously good looking. Whether that story comes from how you acquired it or the actually object tells a story through it's pattern, colours or material. However, something that is literally a storyboard, can be a little OTT, which is why I am a huge fan of Pierre Frey. They sell a variety of fabrics and wallpapers, some a little less subtle than others, and it's these ones I have fallen for. For example the fabric above names Gaya Original, along side the design is a small piece of text explaining how the designer saw some men work on this ceremonial form of dress is Rajasthan, and they couldn't resist making a fabric inspired by that event. Or this beautiful Chinon (below) which depicts the chinoiserie 'the charm of the exotic and seduces the lovers of decoration since the 18th century' I have to say, I am most definitely charmed!
