I am completely in love with this
series of embroidered artworks from Michele Varian. They are not only
adorable but make me squirm with a strange pleasure/gross feeling.
It's called The Hungry Series, each piece is of a different large
animal and the contents of his stomach. So for example (my favourite)
the whale who swallowed a shark, who swallowed a peg leg captain, who had
earlier eaten a crab, who had just caught a fish! The style is simple
with just clean outlines and a little colour, but it's completely
perfect!
